The GIN Manila mission
Global Issues Network Manila (affectionately known as GINila) is a network of committed, proactive students from Manila-based schools striving to create sustainable, effective solutions to combat pressing issues prevalent in Manila.
Each year, we run a conference in which students can share their community action experience and innovate new action plan projects and ideas.
In our action plans, we emphasize the ability to realistically implement our ideas within our local community and focus on developing ways to maintain contact with the participating schools.
We aspire to devote the time period after the conference to continually improving projects and imparting knowledge to future GIN delegates.

The Theme
The theme of the 2015 GINila conference is Bayanihan, a Tagalog word that means "Community" when translated to English. By making Bayanihan this year's theme, we aim to take the next step in the progression of our GINila network, from last year's theme of friendship, to the concept of Bayanihan. In addition to this year's theme, we would like to emphasise a focus on starting small. This focus is in relation with the action plans produced within the GINila conference, which we hope will prove to be successful. The success of these action plans do not rely on the scale nor the complexity, but rather the ability of the delegates to harness their passions for the betterment of our nation.
